A turbocharger is actually an air compressor that increases air intake by compressing air. It is the use of engine exhaust gas inertia impulse to promote the turbine chamber turbine, turbine and drive the coaxial impeller, impeller pressure from the air filter pipeline to send the air, so that it is pressurized into the cylinder. When the engine speed increases, the exhaust gas discharge rate and the turbine speed is also synchronized to increase, the impeller compresses more air into the cylinder, the air pressure and density increases can burn more fuel, accordingly increase the amount of fuel and adjust the speed of the engine, you can increase the output power of the engine.
Because the turbocharger is often in high speed, high temperature work, the temperature of the turbocharger exhaust gas turbine end in 600 ℃, the supercharger rotor to 8000-11000r/min high speed rotation, so in order to ensure the normal operation of the supercharger, the use of the following points should be noted:
Do not start the car and go
After the engine is started, especially in winter, it should be allowed to idle for a period of time so that the lubricating oil can fully lubricate the bearings before the supercharger rotor operates at high speed. So just after starting, never slam the throttle, in order to prevent damage to the supercharger oil seal.

1、Do not immediately turn off the engine

After a long period of high-speed engine operation, can not immediately turn off the engine. When the engine is working, part of the oil is supplied to the turbocharger rotor bearings for lubrication and cooling. After the engine is running suddenly stopped, the oil pressure quickly dropped to zero, the high temperature of the turbocharger part of the turbocharger to the middle, the bearing bearing shell heat can not be quickly taken away, while at the same time the supercharger rotor is still under the action of inertia high-speed rotation, so the engine is hot if the engine is suddenly shut down, it will cause the turbocharger stagnant oil overheating and damage to the bearings and shafts. In particular, it is important to prevent sudden shutdown after a few kicks of the throttle.

2、Keep clean

When disassembling the turbocharger, keep it clean, each pipe joint must be plugged with a clean cloth to prevent debris from falling into the turbocharger and damaging the rotor. When repairing, care should be taken not to damage the impeller by collision, and if the impeller needs to be replaced, a dynamic balance test should be done. After reassembly, remove the blockage.

3、To clean

As the supercharger is often in high temperature operation, its lubricating oil pipeline due to high temperature, the internal oil is easy to have part of the coking, which will cause the supercharger bearing lubrication is not enough and damage. Therefore, the lubricant line should be cleaned after running for a period of time.

4、Attention to maintenance

Before leaving the car and after collecting the car, the connection of each tube of the airway should be checked to prevent the supercharger from failing and air from short-circuiting into the cylinder due to loosening and dislodging.
It can be seen that after the engine has been pressurized, the structure of the parts has been strengthened, and in terms of use and maintenance, it is necessary to strengthen the mandatory maintenance of the engine and pay attention to the use of correct manipulation methods.
