Sinotruk engines

Sinotruk engine is under China National Heavy Duty Truck Group. These engines are favored by the market for their simple design, powerful horsepower and excellent fuel economy. The core working principle of Sinotruk engines is to efficiently convert the chemical energy of fuel into mechanical energy, thereby providing strong power guarantee for the vehicle. These engines include two series of gasoline engines and diesel engines, each with different advantages, meeting the diverse needs of the market.
China National Heavy Duty Truck Group mainly develops, produces and sells various trucks, special vehicles, special vehicles and assemblies and auto parts such as engines, gearboxes, and axles. The group has a full range of commercial vehicle brands such as Yellow River, Shandeka, and Howo, and is one of the heavy-duty truck companies with the most complete drive forms and power coverage in China’s heavy-duty truck industry.
The development history of Sinotruk engines can be traced back to 1958, when it began to develop diesel engines. In 1964, the company independently developed China’s first 6120 high-speed vehicle diesel engine, filling the gap in the production of domestic heavy-duty vehicle diesel engines. As of 2013, Sinotruk Engine has formed two major series of diesel and gas engines, Steyr and MC, with power ranging from 140 to 540 horsepower. These engines are widely used in heavy trucks, construction machinery, agricultural machinery, ships, generator sets and other fields, with users at home and abroad.
Several major series of Sinotruk engines include:
Steyr series: This is the engine technology introduced by Sinotruk from Austrian Steyr Company, and has become the largest model in China’s heavy truck market.
MC series: This is the series that Sinotruk began to produce after a long-term strategic cooperation with German MAN Company, using MAN’s engine technology.
These engine series demonstrate Sinotruk’s strength in independent research and development and the introduction of international advanced technologies, and also reflect its leading position in the field of commercial vehicles.
It is worth noting that all Sinotruk trucks are currently equipped with Weichai engines.
