Why does the Sinotruk engine emit white smoke?
The engine may emit white smoke due to the following reasons:
Coolant leakage: One of the most common reasons is that the coolant in the engine cooling system has entered the combustion chamber. This is usually caused by cracks inside the engine, damaged cylinder gaskets, or leaking intake manifold gaskets. The coolant evaporates into white steam at high temperatures.
Fuel vaporization: If the fuel is not fully burned in the engine, white smoke may be produced. This may be caused by a faulty fuel injector, excessive fuel supply, or a problem with the engine management system.
Oil burning: White smoke may also be produced if there is too much oil in the engine or the oil enters the combustion chamber and burns. This may be due to oil leakage, worn piston rings, or a faulty turbocharger.
Solutions to solve white smoke from the engine:
Check the coolant: Check if the coolant level has dropped and if there is any leaking liquid under the engine.
Check the oil: Check the oil dipstick to see if there is too much oil or if there are signs of emulsification.
Check the fuel system: Check the fuel pressure and whether the injectors are working properly.
Professional diagnosis: If the cause cannot be determined, the vehicle should be sent to a professional repair shop for inspection and repair as soon as possible.
If the engine emits white smoke, it is recommended not to drive for a long time to avoid causing more serious mechanical damage. When dealing with such problems, it should be diagnosed and repaired by professionals.
